Artist's Description
I was up at 6am to drive to Catbells to try and get a sunrise shot. I arrived at the foot of Catbells at 7:00am, it then took me until 7:30am to climb to the point I wanted to be. Sunrise was non existent but I wanted to come away with something and sat behind some rocks to hide from the wind for a further 1 hour 40 mins until some gaps appeared in the clouds and the light finally began to shine through.

It lies within the historic county boundaries of Cumberland.
About Nick Atkin
I enjoy landscape photography in my spare time. I got my first DSLR (Canon 40D) in April 2008 and then upgraded to a Canon 5D MK II in March 2010. Most of my photography is from the UK with the odd shot here and there from holidays abroad.
